BIRDING IN THE MONFRAGÜE NATIONAL PARK
The Monfragüe National Park and Biosphere Reserve is, without a doubt, an international reference for birdwatching. And possibly the best place in Europe to see birds of prey/birds of prey.
Here we can find unique species that can only be seen on the Iberian Peninsula, such as the Iberian imperial eagle, or the largest colony in the world of the largest bird of prey in Eurasia, the black vulture.
Other large birds that we can observe are the black stork, the Egyptian vulture, the golden eagle, the Bonelli’s eagle or the short-toed eagle, among many others.
We can also see smaller birds such as the solitary rock thrush, the rock bunting, the dartford swallow, the golden swift or the uncommon brown swift. Dartford warblers, bee-eaters and different species of warblers such as the black-winged warbler, the black-headed warbler and the black-capped warbler.
HISTORIC CENTRE OF TRUJILLO
Trujillo is heir to one of the best examples of architectural heritage in Extremadura.
In the beautiful historic centre, in addition to the castle and the walls, the main feature is the porticoed main square, where the most important examples of noble architecture can be found, the central nucleus of Trujillo’s economic and social life.
Trujillo surprises visitors with its heritage, gastronomy and culture. One of its main attractions is to stroll through its old quarter, declared to be of Historic-Artistic Interest, enjoying its streets and façades, or to visit the castle that defended King’s Landing in the well-known HBO series Game of Thrones.
UNIQUE ACCOMMODATION

Its location is ideal, in the Plaza Mayor of Trujillo, with unique views of the palaces, the Church of San Martín, the statue of the conqueror Francisco Pizarro, the Castle and the walled enclosure.
